Late last night, General Michael Flynn resigned his position as National Security Advisor due to his connections with Russia. Now Keith Olbermann is calling for a full investigation and for Donald Trump and Flynn be arrested for the laws that were broken.
Flynn breached the Logan Act when he negotiated foreign policy.
“I call for the immediate investigation for whether his relationship with the Russian government is limited to activities covered by the Logan Act,” Olbermann said. “Or, if he is acting as an agent of the Russian government, or as in the past, acting as a paid employee of companies affiliated with the Russian government.”
Olbermann also asked for help from patriotic Americans on the Republican Senate roster to “fulfill their promise of weeks ago, to immediately conduct a full, open and limitless investigation into Russian hacking during the election, into Russian coordination with the Republican presidential campaign during the election and into the contact between the Russians and the transition team between the time of the election and the inauguration.”
He demanded that the grand jury indicts both Donald Trump and Flynn because he identifies Trump as a co-conspirator.
Olbermann went through all the evidence that Flynn has ties to Russia, from having dinner with Vladimir Putin to conservations about the sanctions that were given to Russia by former President Barack Obama.
Olbermann believes that the chance there is this much evidence “is so small,” it’s “almost laughable.”
He also pointed out that Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak was sitting in the front row when Trump gave his first foreign policy speech. According to Olbermann, Trump should be impeached if these incidents are not just coincidences.
